Specifications

Description

Black Lashter Marble | Charcoal Marble with White Veins for Feature Walls, Lobbies, Floors and Counters

Black Lashter Marble is a dark Iranian marble recognised by its dark background and light veins. It is considered for projects that want contrast, a formal feel and modern design, and creates a strong focal point next to light marbles.

Colour and Appearance

In the photos of this product, Lashter has a charcoal to very dark grey background with clean, well-defined white veins. The veins usually appear as long, crossing lines in several directions and range from fine hairlines to wider lines.

Vein density and direction differ in every slab, and grading can make a big difference in appearance and price. For decorative projects, review complete slab photos and the possibility of aligning the pattern direction.

Applications

  • Feature walls and TV walls: where the contrast of the white veins is best seen.
  • Lobbies: on walls, elevator surrounds or floor borders next to light stone.
  • Interior floors and stairs: in feature areas or mixed designs.
  • Counters and decorative tables: keeping in mind marble’s sensitivity to acids and scratches.

Lashter is supplied as slabs and tiles. A polished slab shows more vein contrast, while honed or leathered reduces surface reflection.

Available Finishes

Besides polished and honed, textured finishes such as leathered, chiseled, grooved, rock-face, flamed-leathered and leathered bush-hammered are available for textured walls and architectural details.

Practical Notes on Dark Stones

  • Dust, fingerprints and water marks show more on dark surfaces; honed or leathered finishes show them less.
  • Using it across an entire large floor can make the space feel heavy; pairing with light stone is more common.

Price

The price of Black Lashter Marble depends on grade, vein pattern, dimensions, thickness, finish, order quantity and shipping. The figure shown on this page is the starting price per square metre; the final price is confirmed after reviewing the deliverable batch and order specifications.

Buying Guide

  • View the full slab; with dark, veined stones a small sample is not enough.
  • Define vein direction and piece layout before cutting.
  • Check polish quality, edge and corner condition and possible cracks.
  • Match stock photos and pro-forma specifications to your project, and agree on dimensional tolerances and packing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Lashter or Dehbid Black?
Both are dark marbles; Lashter usually has clear, linear white veins, while Dehbid Black may show grey, gold or more dynamic veining. See Dehbid Black Marble and 3D Black Marble as well.

Is it suitable for floors?
It suits feature and mixed floors; on large, busy floors consider that scratches show more on a dark surface.
