Description

Hajiabad Travertine is one of the well-known and highly regarded types of Iranian natural travertine, quarried in the Nimvar area of Mahallat, Markazi Province, Iran. The quarries in this region have a history of more than eight decades, making Hajiabad one of the established names in Iran’s natural stone industry.

Among Iranian travertines, Hajiabad is recognized for its high density, relatively low porosity, compact structure, high specific gravity, and relatively low water absorption compared with many other travertine varieties. In terms of overall strength and density, premium Hajiabad Travertine is generally considered one of the strongest Iranian travertines, traditionally positioned just below Atashkouh Travertine in the premium segment.

Hajiabad Travertine Color and Quality

One of the important characteristics of Hajiabad Travertine is its natural range of colors and grades.

The highest-quality selections have become increasingly limited due to extensive quarrying over the years. Current quarry production can include warm shades ranging from:

  • Light Cream
  • Cream
  • Dark Cream
  • Warm Beige
  • Chocolate
  • Cardboard-like Warm Brown Tones

Because different quarry faces and commercial selections can produce noticeably different colors and structures, careful block selection and professional grading are particularly important when sourcing Hajiabad Travertine for architectural and export projects.

Vein Cut Hajiabad Travertine | Linear and Wavy Pattern

Vein Cut Hajiabad Travertine reveals the natural sedimentary layers of the stone as continuous or semi-continuous linear patterns.

This cutting direction creates a more structured and architectural appearance, making it suitable for projects where the natural movement and layering of travertine are intended to become part of the design.

Vein Cut Hajiabad Travertine is particularly suitable for:

  • Architectural facades
  • Luxury villas
  • Feature walls
  • Hotel lobbies
  • Decorative walls
  • Large-format slabs
  • Premium interior projects

Cross Cut Hajiabad Travertine | Non-Veined Pattern

Cross Cut Hajiabad Travertine is produced by cutting across the primary sedimentary layers.

Instead of long linear veins, the surface reveals a more cloud-like and naturally distributed pattern.

Hajiabad Travertine has its own distinctive beauty in both Vein Cut and Cross Cut formats. The choice between the two depends on the architectural concept, selected grade, color variation, and the desired visual effect.

Hajiabad Travertine Slabs

Hajiabad Travertine Slabs are an important product in the Iranian domestic market.

In Iran, Hajiabad Travertine is commonly processed into slabs and also produced in formats with approximately 40 cm width and free length, depending on the block and production requirements.

Large-format slabs allow the natural color variation and structure of the stone to be displayed more prominently, making them suitable for:

  • Hotel lobbies
  • Feature walls
  • TV walls
  • Elevator surrounds
  • Decorative walls
  • Luxury interiors
  • Flooring applications

Hajiabad Travertine Blocks | Raw Quarry Blocks

Due to the established reputation of Hajiabad Travertine, raw Hajiabad Travertine blocks are also commercially important for international buyers and stone-processing factories.

Purchasing the stone in block form allows overseas buyers to control the complete production process according to their own machinery, market requirements, finishing standards, and project specifications.

For block buyers, factors such as block quality, color, grading, porosity, structural integrity, quarry face, cutting direction, and expected finished yield are particularly important.

Professional block selection can have a significant impact on the final value of Hajiabad Travertine after processing.

Export Sizes of Hajiabad Travertine

Hajiabad Travertine can be supplied to international markets both as raw quarry blocks and as processed stone products.

  • 300 × 600 mm and 400 × 800 mm in 30 mm thickness for Dry Fix and Hanging Systems

The stone can also be produced as:

  • Large Slabs
  • Cut-to-Size Tiles
  • Stair Treads
  • Paving Stone

  • Unfilled Finish
  • Filled Finish with Resin & Mastic

Applications of Hajiabad Travertine

Due to its relatively high density, compact structure, low porosity, and versatile finishing capabilities, Hajiabad Travertine can be used in a wide range of architectural applications, including:

  • Building Facades
  • Classical Facades
  • Modern Facades
  • Dry Cladding
  • Villa Exteriors
  • Interior Flooring
  • Semi-Outdoor Flooring
  • Interior Walls
  • Hotel Lobbies
  • Staircases
  • Elevator Surrounds
  • TV Walls
  • Feature Walls
  • Decorative Walls
  • Landscaping and Architectural Features

Its relatively compact structure also makes it an attractive option for projects where a denser and stronger travertine is preferred.

Hajiabad Travertine for Export

Hajiabad Travertine has strong potential for international stone markets because of its combination of high density, compact structure, relatively low water absorption, natural color variation, multiple cutting options, and extensive finishing possibilities.

The stone can be supplied internationally as either Raw Hajiabad Travertine Blocks or Processed Hajiabad Travertine Tiles, Slabs, and Cut-to-Size Products.

Its ability to be manufactured in different thicknesses, including 30 mm for Dry Fix and Hanging Systems, further expands its suitability for international architectural projects.

Hajiabad Travertine Supply by Sange Hassan

Sange Hassan supplies Hajiabad Travertine in the form of raw quarry blocks, slabs, processed tiles, and custom Cut-to-Size products for both domestic and international projects.

Because premium selections from some quarry faces have become increasingly limited, professional sourcing and block evaluation are particularly important.

At Sange Hassan, the selection and supply process considers block quality, color, grade, porosity, structural integrity, quarry face, cutting direction, dimensions, thickness, finishing requirements, and final project application.

For export orders, Hajiabad Travertine can be supplied in 300 × 600 mm and 400 × 800 mm formats in 10 mm and 20 mm thickness, as well as 30 mm thickness for Dry Fix and Hanging applications.

The availability of both Vein Cut and Cross Cut, combined with a broad range of surface finishes, makes Hajiabad Travertine a versatile choice for architectural, residential, commercial, and international stone projects.
